Orang tua perlu mengenal tanda bahaya perkembangan anak. Buku KIA merupakan instrumen pencatatan sekaligus penyuluhan (edukasi) bagi ibu dan balitanya. Data angka kejadian keterlambatan perkembangan diperkirakan sekitar 1–3 % anak dibawah lima tahun mengalami keterlambatan perkembangan umum. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang perkembangan anak usia 3- 5 tahun dengan pemanfaatan buku kesehatan ibu dan anak.Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Variabel pada penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan,sikap ibu, dan pemanfaatan buku kesehatan ibu dan anak. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu-ibu yang mempunyai anak usia 3-5 tahun yang berjumlah 288 orang dengan jumlah sampel 43 orang, tehnik pengambilan sampel secara random. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 2 – 28 September 2019. Data dikumpul dengan menggunakan kuesioner kemudian diolah dengan sistem komputerisasi dengan teknik analisis chi-squre.Hasil penelitian menunjukan 62,80 % responden berpengetahuan tinggi, 51,20 % responden bersikap positif tentang perkembangan anak usia 3 - 5 tahun dan 53,50 % responden ada memanfaatkan buku kesehatan ibu dan anak. Ada hubungan antara pengetahuan responden dengan pemanfaatan buku KIA, p Value = 0,001 dan ada hubungan antara antara sikap responden dengan pemanfaatan buku KIA, p Value = 0,022.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang perkembangan anak usia 3-5 tahun dapat mempengaruhi pemanfaatan buku kesehatan ibu dan anak oleh ibu. Disarankan orang tua untuk selalu memanfaatkan buku kesehatan ibu dan anak agar dapat mengetahui tahap perkembangan anaknya sehingga dapat dengan cepat memantau bila ada gangguan pada perkembangan anak.
