Sedangkan kelahiran lainnya mengalami 1 atau lebih komplikasi. Komplikasi persalinan yang banyak dilaporkan adalah persalinan lama (41%). Mayoritas kelahiran dengan riwayat komplikasi persalinan lama (30%). Ada beberapa upaya fisilogis yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah persalinan lama seperti, senam hamil, dan teknik nafas dalam. Upaya lainnya dalam mencegah persalinan lama dengan Birth Ball yang mendukung persalinan agar dapat berjalan secara fisiologis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penggunaan Birth Ball Terhadap Lamanya Kala I fase aktif Pada Ibu Bersalin Di Ruang Kebidanan RSUD HAMBA Batang Hari, jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy experimen sedangkan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian case control. Case control adalah penelitian yang dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan antara dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok kasus dan kelompok kontrol dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 14 orang. Dilakukan observasi dengan menggunakan lembar partograf di dapat hasil rata-rata kemajuan persalinan selama 2.82 jam pada kelompok intervensi dan 5.61 jam untuk kemajuan persalinan pada kelompok kontrol. Uji statistik dengan menggunakan Uji independent sampel T- Test menunjukkan nilai p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh lamanya persalinan kala I fase aktif pada ibu bersalin yang di berikan tindakan Birth ball dengan yang tidak diberikan Birth ball. Diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai acuan di RSUD HAMBA dalam memberikan pelayanan pada ibu bersalin kala 1 sehingga tercipta persalinan yang nyaman dan singkat bagi ibu besalin.
