Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian hidroterapi terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada lansia dengan hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Tutung. Desain penelitian ini ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperiment dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 responden dan dibagi dua grup yaitu 16 responden pada kelompok perlakuan dan 16 responden dalam kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan purposive sample. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan lembar observasi kemudian analisis dengan uji t test. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 09-23 februari tahun 2021. Berdasarkan hasil uji t test pada kelompok perlakuan didapatkan perbedaan rata-rata tekanan darah sistol yaitu 16,00 mmHg (p-value = 0,000) dan diastole yaitu 8,00 mmHg (p-value = 0,000), artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi. Kemudian pada kelompok kontrol didapatkan perbedaan rata-rata tekanan darah sistol yaitu 0,25 mmHg ( p-value = 0,700) dan diastol yaitu 0,25 mmHg (p- value = 0,534), artinya tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara tekanan darah I dan II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian hidroterapi terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada lansia dengan hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Tutung. Maka dari itu disarankan untuk menerapkan hidroterapi sebagai alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan hipertensi.
