Penyebab terjadinya penyakit jantung adalah karena kebiasaan merokok, riwayat hipertensi, riwayat penyakit DM, obesitas dan aktifitas fisik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian penyakit jantung di Poli Jantung RSUD Solok tahun 2018. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dala penelitian ini berjumlah 2840 kasus dengan jumlah sampel didapatkan sebanyak 97. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square (CI 95%, a = 0.05). Hasil penelitian ditemukan, kejadian penyakit jantung ada sebanyak 66 (68.0%), kebiasaan merokok ada sebanyak 40 (41.2%), memiliki riwayat hipertensi ada sebanyak 55 (56.7%), aktifitas fisik sedang ada sebanyak 68 (70.1%), obesitas ada sebanyak 22 (29.9%) dan memiliki riwayat penyakit DM ada sebanyak 22 (22.7%). Analisis bivariat kebiasaan merokok p value = 0.019, riwayat hipertensi p value= 0.0001, aktifitas fisik p value= 0.557, variabel obesitas p value=0.001, riwayat penyakit DM p value = 0.020. Berdasarkan hasil diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kebiasaan merokok, riwayat hipertensi, obesitas, kejadian penyakit DM, namun untuk variabel aktifitas fisik tidak ada hubungan dengan kejadian penyakit jantung. Diharapkan kepada masyarakat untuk selalu menjaga kesehatan dan rutin memeriksakan kesehatannya ke fasilitas kesehatan. Selain itu pasien harus menjaga pola makan, melakukan aktifitas rutin serta meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai penyakit jantung.
