Title A name given to the resource BUKU AJAR KESEHATAN IBU DAN ANAK Description An account of the resource Seperti yang diketahui bersama, Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) dan Angka Kematian Bayi (AKB) merupakan indikator utama derajat kesehatan masyarakat dan ditetapkan sebagai salah satu tujuan Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Menurut Survei Demografi Keluarga Indonesia (SDKI) tahun 2012, saat ini di Indonesia AKI mencapai angka 359 per 100.000 kelahiran hidup dan AKB mencapai angka 32 per 1.000 kelahiran hidup. Angka tersebut menempatkan Indonesia menjadi peringkat yang tertinggi di ASEAN. Banyak faktor yang memengaruhi AKI dan AKB Indonesia yang tinggi sehingga tanpa dilakukan percepatan, tujuan MDGs tidak akan tercapai. Salah satu usaha percepatan penurunan AKI dan AKB adalah dengan meningkatkan kualitas tenaga bidan dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak (KIA). Program KIA berdasar pada continuum of care sehingga perlu dilakukan penanganan yang tepat sepanjang siklus hidup manusia, penyediaan layanan, komponen upaya, continuum of care dalam program dan keterkaitan dan continuum of care di luar sektor kesehatan. Agar pelaksanaan pelayanan KIA dapat berjalan dengan lancar, perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan mutu melalui penyiapan sumber daya manusia sejak dini yaitu sejak dalam proses pendidikan.
