Homeostasis ini merupakan proses yang sangat penting karena sel dan jaringan tubuh hanya akan tetap hidup dan dapat berfungsi secara efisien ketika kondisi internal ini dipertahankan dengan baik. Semua sistem organ bekerja dengan normal cara saling bergantung untuk mempertahankan homeostasis. A. Pengertian Homeostasis Homeostasis merupakan prinsip paling dasar yang juga menunjang semua proses phisiologis. Homeostasis adalah suatu proses dalam tubuh makhluk tetap menjamin untuk terus dalam kondisi sehat, sehingga proses metabolisme yang terlibat didalamnya berupa sel tampil seimbang dan optimal. Homeostasis dirujuk juga pada pertahanan dan juga pengaturan lingkungan yang seimbang dan konstan (badan organisme). Homeostatis juga adalah keseimbangan kondisi didalam sel, juga disebut equilibrium. Homeostatis mengelola metabolisme dalam membran plasma, untuk mendistribusikan apa saja cairan yang masuk dan meninggalkan sel, sehingga sel dapat menjaga keseimbangan cairan yang ada didalam organel-organel sel (Yustina & Darmadi, 2017). Kata Homeostasis merupakan istilah ilmiah dalam kesehatan, ada dua kata yang dapat diartikan yaitu Homeo yang artinya sama, sedangkan arti kata stasis adalah seimbang atau mempertahankan sebuah keadaan, sehingga jika diartikan secara ilmiah merupakan suatu keadaan di dalam fisik untuk mengontrol jalur keluar masuk metabolisme untuk mengetahui gangguan segala kondisi yang akan terjadi. Istilah ini banyak dipakai oleh ahli fisiologi untuk mendeskripsikan adalah sebuah kondisi konstan yang hampir selalu ada di lingkungan dalam tubuh organisme (Raimundus Chalik, S.Si., M.Sc., 2021).
