<text>ABSTRACT
One of the causes of nutritional problems in Indonesia was the provision of MP-ASI that was
not appropriate and safe, based on the results of the SSGI survey on the provision of MP-ASI
in Indonesia, the presentation of infants who received MP-ASI > 6 months in 2022 was 47.7%,
which data has not reached the target of the achievement strategy for Indonesia of 90%.
According to WHO, approximately 1.5 million children die due to breastfeeding, while some
mothers give complementary foods not accompanied by breast milk which actually contains
the right main nutrients for children. The factors that influence the complementary feeding of
breast milk include education, knowledge, employment, and exposure to information.
Objective: Knowing the factors related to the accuracy of complementary feeding of breast
milk for infants aged 6-24 months at the integrated service post of Ukui Village, Pelalawan
Regency in 2023. Type of quantitative research with cross sectional study approach. The
population in this study was all mothers who had babies aged 6-24 months, which was 180
people Sample return using Purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 64 mothers.
The tool use for data collection was a questionnaire with Chi-Square analytical test. The
research will be conducted between August-September 2023 in the integrated service post area
of Ukui Village, Pelalawan Regency. From the results of univariate analysis, statistical test
results were obtained 57.8% of respondents with the accuracy of MP-ASI correctly, 39.1% of
respondents had secondary education, 46.9% of respondents with a good level of knowledge,
76.6% of respondents did not work, 73.4% of respondents were exposed to information about
MP-ASI. From the results of bivariate analysis, there is a relationship between education,
knowledge, employment, exposure to information and the accuracy of breastfeeding. It was
expected that the baby's MP-ASI must be given appropriately so that optimal growth and
development. </text>
