The Early Warning Score System (EWSS) is an instrument based on simple physiological
observations that can detect inpatients who are at high risk of worsening. Nurses' attitudes
in carrying out the Early Warning Score System (EWSS) is very important because if you
do not implement the Early Warning System Score (EWSS), unpredictable deaths will be
high. The total number of nurses working at AR Bunda Prabumulih Hospital in 2024 will
be 211 nurses . The aim is to find out the relationship between nurses' attitudes towards
the implementation of the Early Warning Score System (EWSS). This research is a
descriptive correlation study with a cross sectional design and involved 70 nurses on duty
in adult inpatient rooms who were collected using total sampling techniques .
Demographic data collection tools and 17 statements and 10 statements regarding the
implementation of the Early Warning Score System (EWSS) . It was found that 56 (80%)
people were good at running the Early Warning Score System (EWSS). Based on
observations by several nurses regarding the results of the implementation of the Early
Warning Score System (EWSS), there were 6 patients who were not assessed according to
Standard Operating Procedures, causing the patient to die without the Early Warning
Score System (EWSS) algorithm being carried out periodically. . Data was collected using
a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. Univariate research results show
that 80% of respondents behaved well and 20% behaved unfavorably in implementing the
Early Warning Score System (EWSS). The results of the chi-square analysis found that
there was a relationship between nurses' attitudes ( p - value 0.003) towards the
implementation of the Early Warning Score System EWSS in the inpatient room at AR
Bunda Prabumulih Hospital ( p-value <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a
relationship between nurses' attitudes towards the implementation of the Early Warning
Score System (EWSS) in the inpatient room at AR Bunda Prabumulih Hospital.
