Adapun tanda gejala yang muncul pada pasien rheumatoid artritis yaitu nyeri sendi, penanganan nyeri sendi dapat dilakukan dengan farmakologi dan non- farmakologi. Salah satu penanganan non-farmakologi adalah pemberian kompres hangat jahe. Tujuan dari karya ilmiah ini mampu menerapkan asuhan keperawatan dengan pemberian kompres hangat jahe dalam menurunkan skala nyeri rheumatoid artritis pada lansia. Metode penulisan ini adalah studi kasus dilakukan dengan proses pengkajian sampai evaluasi keperawatan pada pasien rheumatoid artritis. Hasil penelitian didapatkan setelah dilakukan asuhan keperawatan selama 3 hari, maka diagnosa keperawatan Nyeri kronis berhubungan dengan agen pencendera fisiologis : inflamasi pada sendi dapat teratasi selama 3 hari kunjungan dimulai dari awal pengkajian pada tanggal 25 Agustus hingga 27 Agustus dengan hasil didapatkan skala nyeri pada hari pertama 5, skala nyeri pada hari kedua yaitu 4 sedangkan pada hari ke 3 dilakukan pemberian kompres hangat jahe untuk mengurangi skala nyeri didapatkan skala nyeri 3, sehingga klien mengatakan nyeri berkurang dengan skala nyeri 3, klien tampak lebih tenang, klien mampu mengontrol nyeri dengan cara mengaplikasikan teknik non farmakologis yang telah diajarkan kompres hangat jahe. Kesimpulan dapat diartikan bahwa pemberian kompres hangat jahe untuk penurunan skala nyeri pada pasien rheumatoid artritis dapat dikatakan efektif. Tekanan darah tersebut membuat system sirkulasi dan organ yang mendapat suplai darah (termasuk jantung dan otak) menjadi tegang. Adapun tanda gejala yang muncul pada pasien hipertensi selain meningkatnya tekanan darah, pasien juga mengalami nyeri pada kepala dan tengkuk, gangguan pola tidur, penanganan gangguan pola tidur dan tekanan darah dapat dilakukan dengan penanganan non-farmakologi adalah penerapan terapi hipnosis lima jari. Waktu yang dibutuhkan dalam melakukan hypnosis lima jari ini yaitu selama 3 hari berturut-turut dengan durasi pemberian intervensi 15 menit. Karya Ilmiah Akhir Ners (KIAN) ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis intervensi penanganan gangguan pola tidur dan tekanan darah non- farmakologis melalui penerapan terapi hipnosis lima jari. Hasil analisis menunjukkan didapatkan TD pada hari pertama 190/100 mmHg, TD pada hari kedua yaitu 160/100 mmHg sedangkan pada hari ke 3 dilakukan terapi hypnosis lima jari didapatkan TD 140/80 mmHg sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa pemberian terapi hypnosis lima jari efektif dan efesien untuk mengurangi gangguan pola tidur pada pasien hipertensi.
